Stablemates is available to riders both adults and children who regularly ride at Grove House Stables LLP. Children will inevitably start asking (pleading!) for a pony of their own whilst their parents, especially those with limited time or equine knowledge are understandably wary of taking on such a commitment. Adults realise the benefits of time spent with horses for their health, enjoyment and well-being within in friendly, supportive environment.
Grove House Stables has designed a special first step into pony/horse-ownership called “GH Stablemates” to provide support whilst enabling individuals to realise their dream.
Stablemates is a scheme to provide help and support when learning about all aspects of taking care of horses and ponies, potentially before purchasing one of your own.
Our BHS trained staff will be on hand to answer questions, guide you and provide ridden lessons in various ability groups as per your stablemates contract.

Please always advise us when your child is participating and to retain a safe controlled environment these sessions are purely for the nominated child and cannot include siblings or friends. For their own safety Stablemates children of 12 years and under must always have a responsible adult in attendance, other than during lessons, supervision and activities organised by Grove House Stable LLPs.

The five or three riding sessions must be used up each week – you cannot carry them over to the following week without advance prior agreement. In case of holidays or school commitments these must be notified so alternative sessions can be scheduled in advance.
